Data Protection Principles

Article 5(2) requires that:
“the controller shall be responsible for, and be able to demonstrate, compliance with the principles.”
How will we collect your information?
We collect information about you when you register your interest with us (e.g. request a quotation or information; provide your contact information at conferences, emails etc), place an order for our products or services, apply to subcontract for us, or enter into an agreement with us to supply our services. We also collect information when you voluntarily complete customer feedback. Website information is collected using cookies.
How information about you will be used
We collect information about you to process your orders, and if you agree, to contact you about other products or services that we think may be of interest with you. We also collect information of Subcontracted Employees in order to place them within our contracted sites.
If you agree, we may pass on your personal information to our group of companies so that they may offer you their products or services.
Sparta Security Services (SSS) will not share your information for marketing purposes with companies outside the Sparta Security Services (SSS) Group.
In processing your order, we may send your details to, and share information from, credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies.
Will your Data be shared?
We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. We will store all the personal information you provide on our secure (password and firewall protected) servers which are located within the European Economic Area (EEA). As an employee or subcontractor of Sparta security Services your information may be stored in out head office within a secure locked filing cabinet.
Sending information over the internet is generally not completely secure and we can’t guarantee the security of your data while it’s in transit. Any data you send is at your own risk.
We have procedures and security features in place to keep your data secure once we receive it.
How Long will your Data be stored?
The length of time we will hold or store your personal information for will depend on the services we perform for you and for how long you require these. We store client’s data for a maximum of three years, this is then reviewed and the clients will be contacted should they wish to remain within our system providing no work has been completed for them within those three years. As we often support subcontractors with placements over many years, the purpose for which we retain data is often an ongoing purpose.
We conduct regular data-cleansing and updating exercises with our candidates to ensure that
(a) the data that we hold is accurate and
(b) we are not holding data for too long.
